Experience
Twelve years, four regulated domains.
Industrial networking, medical imaging, constrained IoT and financial screening. Different stacks, one requirement: it has to be correct in production.
Microsens GmbH
Software Engineer
- Designed and implemented PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) driver for Microchip PD692x0, supporting up to 90W per port and enabling scalable power management for industrial Ethernet switch platforms.
- Designed and implemented Layer 3 routing stack, enabling static, inter-VLAN, and dynamic routing with TCAM-accelerated forwarding and integration with the BIRD Internet Routing Daemon for control-plane routing.
- Designed and implemented route lifecycle management, applying an exponential backoff algorithm for retry and convergence control, improving stability of Layer 3 routing operations.
- Designed and implemented a WS2812B LED driver over SPI, converting strict timing requirements into SPI-encoded waveforms, ensuring stable operation across chained LEDs in industrial devices.
- Designed and implemented FPGA-based LED driver logic, enabling deterministic timing and efficient parallel control of LEDs in industrial systems.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve web application issues, ensuring timely bug fixes and improved system reliability.
Robert Bosch eBike Systems
Werkstudent
- Collected real-world performance data across 10+ parameters over 150+ hours of structured eBike field testing; built an overview monitoring dashboard consolidating multi-run data for trend analysis and effective defect pattern identification.
- Designed and executed structured test cases for the Bosch eBike Android and iOS application using Robot Framework and Python; identified and documented 100+ defects across functional and integration test scenarios.
- Automated repetitive test data collection and reporting workflows, reducing manual effort and improving consistency across test cycles.
- Supported inventory management processes, contributing to operational tracking and logistics workflows.
Honeywell Technology Solutions
Advance Software Engineer
- Built an OTA firmware update and remote debug log pull system from scratch on Linux-based legacy low-memory IoT devices, enabling remote diagnostics and reducing dependency on on-site intervention.
- Designed, prototyped and implemented OS upgrade path for legacy low-memory IoT devices, working within tight hardware constraints to deliver a viable migration without additional hardware cost.
- Implemented TLS 1.3 communication layer for an IoT gateway, including PKI certificate generation, provisioning, and lifecycle management — securing end-to-end data transmission between constrained IoT devices and backend infrastructure.
- Integrated SonarQube into the CI/CD pipeline for automated static analysis, cutting high-severity code smells and security hotspots by 90%.
- Led threat modelling sessions using OWASP Threat Dragon to map attack vectors during design phase, producing threat models, zone/conduit diagrams and CVE analysis that fed directly into architectural decisions.
- Led a Six Sigma DFSS process improvement initiative that streamlined development workflows and delivered a 30% productivity gain — recognized with the Bravo Award for impact on team delivery.
- Translated critical customer issues into actionable development priorities; worked directly with stakeholders to interpret feedback into product improvements.
- Mentored junior engineers across delivery cycles and contributed to proof-of-concept prototyping for new feature validation.
Siemens Healthcare
Senior Engineer — Design & Development
- Developed features for Procedure Manager, a C# DLL-based application for pre-configuring and managing clinical procedures on Siemens Artis X-ray and angiography systems — working to high standards of software design including SRP, static code analysis, and structured code review.
- Built a WebSocket communication module and exposed APIs enabling other hospital applications to interface with Procedure Manager, effectively making it a communication hub within the clinical workflow.
- Started on embedded C/C++ with Qt/QML before transitioning to the C# Procedure Manager project — giving end-to-end familiarity with both the device layer and the application layer of the imaging system.
- Embedded with clinical teams including direct observation of live surgical procedures to understand the real-world criticality of medical imaging software — an experience that permanently shaped how I think about failure tolerance and correctness.
- Contributed to intelligent system features aimed at reducing procedure preparation cycle time, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, clinical, and integration domains.
- Travelled to Germany for on-site system integration activities, working directly with hardware and cross-regional engineering teams.
- Participated in internal hackathon, presenting a Smart ECG concept to senior stakeholders.
CGI
Software Engineer
- Developed features for HotScan, a CGI embargo list filtering product used by major banks and financial institutions — a C/C++ distributed system with multiple communicating applications working in concert to screen financial transactions.
- Designed and implemented a rule-based filtering engine that significantly improved screening accuracy and reduced manual operator intervention by 40% — high-stakes work given the regulatory and compliance consequences of false negatives in embargo screening.
- Joined as a fresher and progressed to owning a critical, independently delivered feature within a complex distributed financial system — building confidence and technical depth in equal measure.
- Contributed to feature development, bug fixing, and test automation across the software lifecycle.
